It’s finally spring, so, it’s the perfect time to make those changes and updates to your home you’ve been waiting to do all winter long. Leave those winter blues behind, and bring some fresh, bright spring vibes into your home with these tips from our designers!
Try Some Tongue and Groove
Need a conversation piece in your home? Install tongue and groove to cover an accent wall, around a fireplace, in an entryway, in your breakfast nook (as pictured below), or even in a bathroom! We love using tongue and groove for texture and brightness in our client’s homes.
Go Unique With Flooring
You can always update your home with new flooring! Try something different like a chevron design, or try our engineered hardwood flooring that are low maintenance and durable. Lighter woods are best to brighten up a home, and it’s perfect for springtime!
You can also update your home by painting the walls a new color. We highly recommend the Sherwin Williams’ ‘Shoji’ for a great cream-white color that works in EVERY room. You can pair Shoji with their ‘Worldly Gray’ (SW7043) and ‘Urban Bronze’ (SW7048) to really bring a room together! We use those colors all the time and they never disappoint.
Try Some New Tile
Don’t forget about your bathroom and kitchen! Try a hardwood-like tile on your bathroom floor for a rustic look.
You can also update your kitchen backsplash with new tile design. Try a unique pattern or one of the multiple twists we have on the classic white subway tile. This will definitely get you into the spring mood!
Bring the outdoors, in!
A great way to bring a space together is to add a little green! A few planters with a plant can really help. Plus, if it’s real, you will purify your air too! If you’re one without a green thumb, don’t worry, fake plants work just as well!
Cut a rug
Are your entryway rugs completely dirty and worn from all of the rain and mud we’ve been having this winter? Freshen up those spaces with a new rug for spring. Any of the stunning carpet designs we carry can be cut into rugs of whatever size you would like!
